GLENN YOSHINAGA visited Coral Sands Golf Course and tried his new found “Axe Swing” to the test. He did some practice one afternoon last week at the driving range and felt the new swing is effective. On 22 June 08, that early Sunday morning, Glenn and Richard (the local Player), set for a first hour tee time at the Coral Sands. We left the Q’s before sunrise and the sky showing some sign of rain clouds, but of course, this did not deter the two golf hackers in making it to the course. At the range, Glenn got a bucket of dimpled balls to warm up that axe swing before we hit the first tee. The axe swing proved to be a more accurate and longer shot for Glenn. We finished the front nine with Glenn 1 shot ahead of T-Rich. On the back nine, Glenn made birdie on the first hole and greenie the last hole. We finished the round with no lost ball. After the round, we watched a few matches of the Ultimate Fighting Championship at the Clubhouse. We did not stay too long at the Clubhouse after the UFC, Glenn headed back to downtown while I attended Sunday mass at the Sacred Heart Chapel.
Some players at the Clubhouse are asking how that Axe swing going. Glenn will be demonstrating his new found swing to some local players this coming weekend before he goes back to Hawaii next month.
